A new [IMOP poll][1] in El Confidencial places Ciudadanos first on 28.5% of the vote, the Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE) second on 21.5%, the Popular Party (PP) third on 21.4% and Podemos fourth on 17.0%.
El Confidencial reported its results implied a net shift of some four million votes towards Ciudadanos, led by Albert Rivera: 2.9 million from the PP, 646,000 from the PSOE and 345,000 from Podemos.
The poll, which paints a similar picture to others this year, represents a doubling of support for Mr. Rivera compared to the party's 2016 general election result of 13.2% and 32 seats.
