Catalonia's former regional education minister, Clara Ponsati (Together For Catalonia), handed herself in to Scottish Police on Wednesday morning in Edinburgh, accompanied by her new lawyer, the Rector of Glasgow University, Aamer Anwar.

Mr. Anwar told journalists outside the police station that Ponsati would be arrested and a European arrest warrant served before she appeared at a Sheriff's court.
