The leader of Ciudadanos in Catalonia, Inés Arrimadas, has called on the Speaker of the Catalan Parliament, Roger Torrent (ERC, Esquerra) to resign.

"He is making the problem worse and increasing division in Catalonia", she said in a press conference: "which is why I have just asked him to resign".

She highlighted Mr. Torrent's remarks in his statement on Sunday evening in which he called for a "common front" of separatist parties and said "no judge" could dismiss or pursue "the president of all Catalans", in reference to Carles Puigdemont.
