The Public Prosecutor's Office has asked the investigating judge at the National High Court in Madrid to jail eight former Catalan regional ministers on remand, court reporters tweeted.
The eight and their former regional appointments are Oriol Junqueras (Deputy First Minister, economy), Jordi Turull (spokesman), Raul Romeva (foreign affairs), Josep Rull (territory), Meritxell Borrás (public administration), Carles Mundó (justice), Dolors Bassa (work & social affairs), Joaquin Form (interior).
One other former regional minister, Santi Vila—who resigned at the last minute before the vote last Friday—could avoid remand by posting €50,000 bail.
The Supreme Court earlier agreed to delay the hearing for the Speaker of the Catalan Parliament, Carme Forcadell, and five former members of he Speaker's Committee, until November 9, after a request by lawyers.

Former Catalan Regional Ministers Sent To Jails Around Madrid Region
None of the former Catalan regional ministers are going to be sent to Soto del Real, the most well-known prison in Madrid, and where the chairmen of the Catalan National Assembly (ANC) and Omnium Cultural, Jordi Sánchez and Jordi Cuixart, are also on remand.
The nine people jailed on remand on Thursday, including the former Deputy First Minister, Oriol Junqueras, are being sent to five other prisons around the Madrid region: Estremera, Navalcanero, Alcalà, Valdemoro and Aranjuez.

Prosecutor Asks Judge To Issue Arrest Warrant For Puigdemont
Court reporters tweeted the Public Prosecutor's Office had asked Judge Lamela to issue an arrest warrant for Carles Puigdemont and the four regional ministers who are with him in Brussels: Antoni Comin, Meritxell Serret, Lluis Puig and Clara Ponsatí.

Judge Jails Junqueras & 8 Former Catalan Leaders On Remand
A judge in Madrid has jailed former Catalan Deputy First Minister Oriol Junqueras and seven other former Catalan regional ministers on remand, Spanish news agencies reported.
A ninth person, Santi Vila, the former regional business secretary, is also to be jailed on remand but may post €50,000 bail to obtain pre-trial release.
In her decision, Judge Lamela argued there was a "high risk" the accused would attempt to destroy evidence or flee.
